I currently work for this company (Dave and Adam's Card World). They are one of the larger buyers and sellers of sports and gaming trading cards in the world. They have 1 retail store, and a very successful website. I started there as the graphic designer in July of 2005 and am currently the Marketing Manager. I work with a team of three other people who are vital to the success of the department. I am involved in every aspect of marketing this company and am constantly in close communication with the company's owners and directors. The various jobs I have been involved in over the last couple years include conceptualizing, writing copy for and designing print advertisements for a dozen or so various sports card and CCG based print publications; creating banner images for online affiliates as well as for our own website; designing direct email marketing campaigns; designing and creating an interactive website for our retail store where we could post upcoming events as well as allow our customers to ask questions publicly, we also have a products section for some of our regionally relevant items; creating a presence on social networking sites such as facebook.com, myspace.com , n49.ca where we run exclusive contests and give our customers a direct line of communication with our company; designing event posters for our retail store; designing and working with local print firms to get other necessary printed materials including - business cards, promotional notepads, promotional scratch-offs, certificate of authenticity cards (distributed with all of our celebrity and athlete autographed items), corporate displays for private and public events, other signage including an outdoor sign for our retail store and a 3'x3' vinyl sign for a private contest at a local fund raising event, magnetic signs for company vehicles, etc.; creating ads for other local promotions including the Entertainment Book, the Yellow Pages, the Talking Phone Book, other local event sponsorships; local restaurants; radio commercials for WGR and 103.3 the Edge radio stations; television commercials; if I think of more, I'll add it.
