How much money does this blog generate?
In the last 1 1/2 half months (as of right now) this site has accrued: $66.40 directly from Google Adsense ads.
I don’t think I’m supposed to write about the specific CTR actually now that I think of it.
My observations:
I haven’t written much in the last week due to being tied up with work (writing quality articles actually takes a lot of effort).
Most (99%) of the traffic is coming from Stumbleupon to 1 article I posted several weeks ago (it’s the 60 Photoshop tutorials one.) It has boosted my ranking to a little higher than 130k in Alexa, and has generated thousands of back links. The traffic has steadied out to around 4k hits a day, of which I am making beans from on advertising.
In all honesty, I’m not concerned about making much money from advertising, I’d rather be generating work (and actually doing work). Though I have some ideas which (based on this recent post that’s getting slammed) I could most likely make some decent ad revenue. I’m also interested in communicating with other web designers so that once I can raise my head away from work, I’ll have somewhere to go and some cool people to talk to. Lastly I have about 20 more pretty nasty article ideas in draft which I want to eventually get to.
Overall, my the most important things that have come from this blog is that I’ve made some great business relationships, solidified a name for myself as a web designer, and experienced one hell of a link baiting success, and I don’t know what I’m going to do next. Any suggestions?

You are lucky man. Mine has made a whopping 0.41 $ in the last 2 months. Suggestions? Just keep at it. For the fun of it. Ciao Wonkymonk.

Hi. yeah, I truly believed that we ought to do something that we enjoy and the $ will follow afterwards.
I have a few blogs of my own. I consider this blog as successful. As for me, with a few blogs and a website, I have managed to get $74.73 for this month alone (1-16 Sept).
I am waiting for my check from google for the last 2 months earning ( I didn’t make it $100 for the 1st month so I had to carry forward to the following month) which is close to $240.
Remember, do what interest you best and I know you are doing the right thing here!

You should probably write some foundation articles and put links to them at the top of your site or somewhere where people can find them really easily. Also, you should include a link to your Photoshop tutorials at the top, so people can easily find that as well. Maybe you could also start a newsletter where you get people to opt-in to receive one photoshop tip each week.

Hey Dennis,
For as many visitors as you’re generating that amount of Adsense income is pitiful. I’d dump it in exchange for a pay by lead or affiliate income. Try adding a few Clickbank links to a Photoshop tutorial program in relvant posts or from the sidebar. You could also try Kontera for revenue, since you have a large amount of daily traffic.

I agree with Matthew. You’re not going to get regular readers clicking on google ads, so you should focus on some kind of affiliate offer you could recommend that would be valuable to your readers.

I appreciate the wealth of information you have and your ease at sharing it. I strongly suggest, although a novice myself, that you focus on affiliate ads using commission junction.
Also, if you have developed any wordpress themes let the wordpress folks know!!!!
Great work, thanks
