Google Analytics is down.
I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but I use Google Analytics on three different sites using three different servers with two different companies. None of our server side code changed but all three sites stopped reporting information around 3pm yesterday evening EST.
If anyone else is experiencing this, please comment. Or post a link to another discussion about this. I can’t find any current news about this anywhere.

We too are experiencing the same outage. The last time it posted info was around 4PM EST for us. I too was looking to see if this was something we did or a system-wide problem. I am glad to know that it is not us but frustrated that it is still down.

Same here, the stats of my 4 sites stopped at 4pm yesterday (Tuesday). Glad you posted on this, now i know it is not me.

Our entire department relies on this information. It hasn’t gone down for me like this in two years.

Just about to roll into 24 hours which I haven’t seen since we first started using them. They were a little slow when we started using the analytics in February, and this is what they came back with:
- Why has data suddenly stopped appearing in my account?
Due to occasional system maintenance, you may experience temporary delays or gaps in data. Please rest assured that none of your data has been lost and your data should be populated within 72 hours.
72 hours would be a killer. I also think they went the wrong direction with the new beta. I hope they leave the older version running for a long time to come.

72 hours will kill us as well.
Also, I don’t know if anyone noticed that the new Analytics doesn’t allow you to display a graph of the visitors by the hour. I had to use the old interface just to find out what time everything shut down for comparison with the other sites.

Good Afternoon,
I posted this earlier in the Troubleshooting area of Google Groups:
Since approximately 11AM PST yesterday, our analytics numbers have
fallen off to zero. We still have no reported data. All members of
this group, please report if you are finding this. Especially if
analytics is key to your business. We need to make Google aware of
their buggy software.
On top of the recent issues with the new Beta, I feel like Google has
pulled a Microsoft on this one. I’m pretty pissed about this. Google
earns alot of money from users of their products and this kind of
outage is seriously unacceptable!!

I have an update. Our Analytics account just updated and it is showing data from midnight last night until this hour. We’re in Buffalo, NY btw, if it helps to narrow down the outage areas.
Though there is still a gap from 3pm yesterday until midnight. It doesn’t seem likely that we’ll get this data back.
What worries me is how dependant we are on this information, and how unprepared we are to deal with something like this. The feeling of being out of control of this type of information is discomforting to say the least.

Dennis,
I’m in San Jose, CA and our data just updated as well.
However…I completely agree with you. We initiated a new AdWords campaign several weeks ago and I need data to see how things are performing. The absolute lack of support and feedback when these issues arise is very frustrating.

Down since yesterday, which means that our data is going to be incorrect. It will not count any of the sales from yesterday and today. Right now is 4:00 pm 5/23/07. I wish they could have a way to add missing data…
unhappy…

Down here on the east coast … all day …
… I figured something was a bit hinky when I received several comments and emails from an article I posted on my blog earlier …
… only to find Analytics saying zero visitors today.
I guess the product isn’t really ready for the enterprise yet.

I just checked, and this problem is only occurring in the new dashboard. My stats are being reported using the old interface. None of my sites have reported stats in the new Dashboard, but all do in the old.
So your data will not be lost, it should be transferred into Dashboard as soon as GA figures out what the problem is.

I’m from Germany. analytics data flow is down here, too. Concerning my websites the data flow stopped at around 20:30 Berlin time (=2.30pm ET), may 22nd. it’s down now for a spectacular 28hrs. google’s information policy is pretty lame, might be that data are still counted but cannot be displayed. i hope for that at least

well what a coincidence, just as i finished writing, all data are back online. data even seem to be correct. but i hope repeated outages will not be an added feature for the ‘new’ google anlytics interface…

It’s strange that it’s by no means regional from what you all are saying, and in no way isolated so why hasn’t Google mentioned it anywhere?
Even something like, “You will not be able to access your data until xxx date, although your data will still be recorded in the meantime.” would have been nice.

Just an update - Google went down again at approximately the same time of day as last time, and we lost data until about the same time of day as last time.
I don’t know what’s going on but I hope it stops soon. Like now.
